Mini Goals
A Great Weigh to Success!

Changing Your Attitude About Yourself

If you are like me, you have probably tried and tried and tried to lose weight until you've gotten so big that you're afraid to put anymore effort into it. Not to worry...as this is a task YOU can do while still keeping your sanity. It takes a new attitude and a LOT of time, patience and effort. The good news is that it is all worth it!

BEFORE

The top picture is me about 12 years ago. For obvious reasons, I would hide from the camera. Go figure!

In the second picture I was at a baby shower and totally excited to have someone taking my picture (not). The little girl in there is not my daughter, but she looked a lot like me when she was a baby.

The last picture was taken by my husband to show my biggest jeans (size 32 Women's Extended) that I couldn't get into until I lost about 15 pounds. Hmm...do you suppose my butt might of looked too big when wearing them? <grin>

AFTER

The top picture is one that a friend of ours, Salome, did that was sent to Woman's World Magazine after losing nearly 150 pounds.

The second picture was last Summer (notice the tan?) after spending the day shopping. I decided instead of telling my husband what I bought, I would just show him. :)

The last picture was taken in December 3 weeks after my surgery to remove excess skin from my upper and lower stomach. My surgeon took off nearly 10 pounds of skin!
The picture on the left is me weighing in at 335 pounds. Don't let that silly smile fool you as I was anything but happy! The more I dieted, the bigger I got and more miserable I became.

The picture on the right is me later in the Summer weighing in at 190 pounds, yet still over-weight according to Weight Watchers. Because I am only 5' 2 " tall, I should weigh no more than 135 pounds, so that puts me at 54 pounds left to lose, which gives me a total of a 200 pound weight loss when it's all said and done. OY!

So if you're like me and have a lot of weight to lose or even if you don't need to lose as much but would like a place to go for information, advice or a shoulder to lean on, then come on in. It makes the task of losing weight easier when we have each other to depend on.

Feel free to send me a note as well to melissa@missieann.com and I will respond. Just remember that it's all about mini goals as they are easier to achieve and ALWAYS reward yourself for a job well done!
